Roberta Lynn Falke Ph.D., QME

Dr. Falke has been a staff forensic psychologist at the Barrington Psychiatric Center since 1987. In the civil arena, she has testified in numerous cases involving psychological consequences of disfigurement, sexual harassment, exposure to trauma, physical injuries to children, racial discrimination and medical malpractice. For over 10 years, Dr. Falke served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA, where she supervised graduate students in their clinical work. She has also conducted research on coping patterns of the physically ill and disabled.

As a member of Barrington's critical incident debriefing team, Dr. Falke regularly assists and treats victims of trauma. Consequently, she has developed an expertise in the assessment and treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorders. In addition to her forensic work, Dr. Falke maintains a clinical practice specializing in the treatment of children and adults. She is also on the Medical Advisory Board of the Scleroderma Foundation and currently is a consultant to the Hershe Group, an organization which helps girls in the foster care system make a successful transition to adulthood.

Dr. Falke obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at UCLA, where she had a special emphasis in the psychology of physical health and illness. She received an award in Excellence in Research, as well as the Distinguished Scholar Award from the UCLA Alumni Association.
