Roberta Lynn Falke Ph.D., QME

Dr. Roberta Falke has been a staff forensic psychologist at the Barrington Psychiatric Center (BPC) since 1987. In the civil arena, she has testified in numerous cases involving psychological consequences of disfigurement, sexual harassment, exposure to trauma, physical injuries to children, racial discrimination and medical malpractice.

As a member of BPC critical incident debriefing team, Dr. Falke assists and treats victims of trauma. As a result of this work, she has developed an expertise in the assessment and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorders.

Dr. Falke received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles where she had a special emphasis in the psychology of physical health and illness. She is the recipient of the “Excellence in Research” award and was recognized with the “Distinguished Scholar” award from the UCLA Alumni Association.

In addition to her work at BPC, Dr. Falke maintains a busy clinical practice treating adults and children. She was an assistant clinical professor at UCLA where she supervised graduate students in their clinical work. She has served on the medical advisory board of the Scleroderma Foundation and currently is a consultant to the Hershe Group, an organization which helps girls in the foster care system transition successfully to adulthood.
