Mark Gordon Barad M.D.

Dr. Barad has been with Barrington Psychiatric Center (BPC) for the past five years. He has extensive experience conducting psychiatric evaluations of injured workers.

In addition to his work with BPC, Dr. Barad is an Attending Psychiatrist and Director at the West Los Angeles VHA at the PTSD clinic. He maintains a private practice and is an adult psychopharmacologist and cognitive-behavioral therapist. He also specializes in mood, anxiety and personality disorders.

Dr. Barad received both his Medical Degree and his Ph.D from Yale University and completed his residency in Psychiatry at Columbia University College and New York State Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Barad is a certified member of the American Psychiatric Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and completed his Fellowship at the Center for Neurobiology and Behavior at Columbia University in New York.

Dr. Barad has extensive Committee Service advancing programs and curriculum in the study of Neuroscience. He is also active in Community Service, presenting workshops in the areas of learning and memory.

He has provided his expertise in Editorial Services for various psychiatric and neuroscientific journals and has Peer Reviewed numerous research papers. In addition, his scholarly work extends to his chapter contribution for several publications as well as authorship of two of his own books.  Dr. Barad has lectured extensively across the country and internationally.

Dr. Barad is the recipient of multiple Research Grants and has been recognized by his peers with numerous Awards.
